ENGL 4327
The Sixteenth Century.
Three semester hours. (FL-Odd)
Period course introducing students to the literature from the accession of Henry VII through Elizabeth I. The course emphasizes revolutionary developments such as the discovery of the New World and the printing press. Writers may include John Skelton, Thomas More, Christopher Marlowe, and Edmund Spenser. Prerequisite: Three hours sophomore literature or consent of instructor. May be taken for graduate credit.
