Following
is one suggested four-year degree plan. Students are encouraged
to see their advisor each semester for help with program decisions
and enrollment. Students are responsible for reviewing the
Program of Study Requirements.

1Spanish
majors may satisfy the Core Curriculum requirement for Foreign Language
by taking SPAN 2313 and SPAN 2315,
Spanish for Spanish Speakers. Students may use credit by exam to earn
advanced placement and proceed directly to SPAN 2320.
Students who are not native speakers and who do not have exam scores
allowing for advanced placement, must take SPAN 1311
and Span 1312, Introductory Spanish
for Non-Native Speakers, and SPAN 2311
and SPAN 2312, Intermediate Spanish
for Non-Native Speakers. Students may take SPAN 2320
upon completion of SPAN 2312 or
SPAN 2315.
2Three
hours from a survey of Spanish literature, SPAN 2321
or 2322. SPAN 2320
is a prerequisite or co-requisite for all of these courses.
3All
hours in the Supporting Field must be in the same discipline and selected
with care as it becomes a second possibele teaching field.
4Six
hours from one Romance language other than Spanish are required for
the degree. Select from French, Latin, or Portuguese.
Actual

given semester.
