Important dates to remember

Placement Applications for Field Experiences I and Block II will be available in the Office of Field and Clinical Experiences.
Packet includes:

- Placement Applications
- Criminal Background Forms (LISD & UISD)
- Pre-Employment Affidavit (LISD & UISD)
- DPS Form (Sign & Date Only)
- TB Tests Results
TB Test results need to fall within the following timeframe: TBD. Results dated prior to --- will not be accepted.
-2 Copies of TAMIU ID
-2 Copies of Texas Driver's License or ID
 
DEADLINE:

All due to the Department of Field and Clinical Experiences in order to receive a placement for the ---Semester.
 
* Submitting Placement Application does not guarantee enrollment in Coursework.

Field Experiences I (EDCI 3301 OR EDBE 3325) Requirements 

Field Requirements Include (but are not limited to):
- 4 hours per week, 10 weeks of instructional field time
- Participate in group activities.
- Correct papers
- Assist in preparation of bulletin boards and instructional models
- Complete and teach 2 lessons, which will be evaluated by the cooperating teacher.

Field Experiences II Requirements

 

Field requirements include(but are not limited to):
-Approximately 7 hours per week, for 11 weeks, of instructional classroom field time

-Participate in group activities -Correct papers

-Assist in preparation of bulletin boards and instructional models

-Complete and teach 6 lessons, 3 of which will be evaluated by the classroom mentor, and 3 will be evaluated by the University Teaching Supervisor

 

 

Deadline for Placement Applications and TExES Scores to be turned in for the Spring 2023 Semester: TBA

-All students must pass the TExES Exam(s) in their area of Specialization/Content area to be eligible for enrollment in EDCI 4693.
