TAMIU Presents Counseling Workshop Monday, Mar. 25

The Texas A&M International University Department of Psychology and Sociology in conjunction with Stop Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) will present a two-hour workshop on legal and ethical issues in counseling Monday, March 25, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon in Bullock Hall Room 101.

The workshop, "Legal and Ethical Issues in Counseling and Psychotherapy: Critical Considerations," is designed for counseling graduate students and counselors who work with chemical dependency programs, schools, colleges, and universities, or mental health institutions.

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance to document the two hours of continuing education training in the area of ethics and legal issues.

The workshop will be presented by Dr. Beatrice O. Pressley, Professor of Counseling Psychology at California State University, Hayward.

Dr. Pressley is a nationally recognized leader in the counseling profession. Her areas of expertise include law and ethics, counselor skills training, and women in counseling and psychotherapy.
