TAMIU Student Receives Accounting Award

Texas A&M International University student Tracy W. Williams has received the Accounting Excellence Award from The Educational Foundation of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Inc.

The award recognized Williams for outstanding knowledge and ability in accounting as evidenced by excellence in accounting courses as well as overall academic achievement and demonstrating high moral and ethical standards.

She was presented the award at a luncheon hosted by the San Antonio Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants held at the Petroleum Club in San Antonio recently.

Williams graduated from TAMIU with honors in May with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She is currently preparing to take the CPA Exam. A resident of Carrizo Springs, she is the daughter of Diana J. Utterback and Victor R. Wimpee.
