Texas A&M International Offers Free Career Workshop Series

The Texas A&M International University Office of Career Planning and Placement will hold a series of free workshops to assist University students in achieving their career goals.

The workshops run through December and range in topics from choosing a major to job search strategies. Workshops will be offered both in the afternoons and evenings for the convenience of students.

The number of participants is not limited, however, students are asked to preregister to attend any workshop by calling the Office of Career Planning and Placement at 326-2260 or by visiting offices located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library Administration Building Room 157 West.

Workshops scheduled for September include "Resume Writing" - Tuesday, September 24, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., "Interview Skills" - Wednesday, September 25, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Workshops scheduled for October include "Choosing a Major" - Monday, October 7, 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., "Resume Writing" - Tuesday, October 8, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., "Interview Skills" - Wednesday, October 9, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., "Job Search Strategies" - Thursday, October 10, 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., "Successful Job Fair Interviews" - Friday, October 11, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., "Time Management" - Monday, October 14, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., and "Stress Management" - Monday, October 14, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

December workshops include "Time Management" - Tuesday, December 3, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., and "Stress Management" - Tuesday, December 3, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.

All workshops will be held in the Office of Career Planning and Placement.
