Texas A&M International "IBA Cafe" Lunch Talk Series Underway
Texas A&M International University's International Business Association is hosting a series of informal Brown Bag Lunch talks called the "IBA Cafe" on Wednesdays, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in Bullock Hall room 202.
The talks are primarily geared for A&M International students but are open to the public as well. Scheduled speakers include faculty from the University's College of Business Administration (COBA) and A&M International administrators.
The IBA Cafe's Fall Feast includes the following topics and speakers: Oct. 2--"COBA Programs: A Chat With Your COBA Dean," Dr. Khosrow Fatemi, Professor of International Business and Dean of the College of Business Administration and the Graduate School of International Trade and Business Administration; Oct. 9--"Soviet Union: Transition From Central Planning to Market Economy," Dr. Kamal Fatehi, Professor of Management and Chair of the Department of Management and Marketing; Oct. 16--"Is the Border Fit to Compete Under NAFTA?" Dr. James Giermanski, Professor of Management; Oct. 23--"What Is Re-engineering?" Dr. Leland Jordon, Associate Professor of Accounting and Dr. Stephanie Smith, Assistant Professor of Finance; Oct. 30--"Beat the Rush: Gear Up For Spring Registration," Imelda Lopez, Graduate Admissions Counselor; Nov. 6--"Meet the President," Dr. J. Charles Jennett, A&M International President; Nov. 13--"The Changing Nature of Management and Career Patterns," Dr. Martin Broin, Assistant Professor of Production and Operations Management; Nov. 20--"AACSB Accreditation: What Does This Mean For You?" Dr. Kurt Jesswein, Associate Professor of International Banking; and Dec. 4--"Student Input on Program Outcome Effectiveness," Dr. William Renforth, Professor of International Business.
Additional lunchtime talks are scheduled from January through April for the IBA Cafe's Spring Smorgasbord.
