Texas A&M International Hosts Open House For 800 Students Nov. 14

Over 800 local and area high school students will converge on Texas A&M International University's main campus on Thursday, November 14 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. for an Open House hosted by the College of Science and Technology.

The students will tour the University's science and nursing facilities, meet faculty from the College of Science and Technology, and view scientific demonstrations.

Dr. Edwin A. Martinez, Dean of the College of Science and Technology, said the event is part of Inauguration Celebration activities for A&M International's fourth president, Dr. J. Charles Jennett.

The College of Science and Technology also hosted a visit from students from the Laredo Independent School District Med-Prep program.

Dr. Martinez said the Open House will expose students to college-level experience and the University's growing science programs.

"A&M International's science programs continue to develop and grow in terms of infrastructure, programs, and majors," he said.
