A&M International Holds Commencement Friday, Dec. 13

Texas A&M International University will hold Fall 1996 Commencement Exercises at the Laredo Civic Center Auditorium on Friday, December 13 at 6:00 p.m.

Keynote speaker for Commencement is Dr. Ray M. Keck, Associate Professor of Spanish at A&M International.

Also on the program for Commencement are University President Dr. J. Charles Jennett, who will confer the degrees; Student Government Association President Jerry Garza, offering the invocation and benediction; Richard Lindsay, The Texas A&M University System Deputy Chancellor for Finance and Operations, bringing greetings from the Texas A&M University System; and Laurie Trusky, A&M International Class of `96, offering a student response.

Sen. Judith Zaffirini, Rep. Henry Cuellar, Rep. Tracy King, Faculty Senate President Dr. Stephen Lunce, and Alumni Association President Lulu Sanchez will each briefly address the graduates before Dr. Keck gives the keynote address.

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. William "Larry" Boyd, will certify candidates for degrees; Mary Trevino, Special Assistant to the President, will present candidates for degrees.

A&M International students Lucia Flores and Wendy Amozurrutia will sing the National Anthem and Alma Mater, respectively.
