A&M International Students Attend National Conference

Three members of Texas A&M International University's Student Government Association participated in the 18th Annual National Leadership Conference on Student Government held recently in St. Louis, Missouri.

The A&M International students were Andrew Andrews, Arturo Sanchez, and Victor Villarreal. They were accompanied by David E. VerMilyea, Director of the University's Office of Student Development.

The conference was designed specifically for student leaders and their advisors from two-year and four-year public and private institutions of higher education.

Topics addressed through small group discussion and special activities included goal setting, improving student government elections, student legal rights, conflict and conciliation, ethical decision making, legal liabilities, and motivating student volunteers.
