College students who wish to transfer to Texas A&M International University this Summer or Fall are reminded they must apply for admission and submit official transcripts and other documentation to the University's Office of Admissions prior to registration.

Maria R. Rosillo, Director of Admissions at A&M International, said admission applications should be submitted as far in advance as possible.

"Students who delay applying for admission may find themselves unable to register for courses if their paperwork is not completed," Rosillo said.

Early Registration for Summer 1997 Sessions and Fall 1997 is ongoing through April 25 in the Office of the Registrar, located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library-Administration Building Room 168 West.

Transfer students should register early by appointment with the Office of Registrar, 326-2250.

A&M International currently offers 22 bachelor's degrees and 20 graduate degrees.

Transfer students who have earned an Associate of Applied Arts degree at a junior or community college can parlay their 2-year degree into a 4-year Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science (BAAS) degree at A&M International.

"The University's BAAS degree is designed for students who have already earned credit in a vocational-technical area or any area not offered at A&M International, such as physical education, art, journalism, or agriculture. Often students who hold a vocational/technical certificate or Associates degree find that their certificates or 2-year degrees are not enough. A BAAS degree can be the answer," she explained.

A&M International is an affordable, convenient choice students who wish to continue their education and increase their marketability in today's competitive job field.

For more information on A&M International's admission procedures, please contact the University's Office of Admissions at 326-2200, or visit offices in Killam Library-Administration Building Room 155 West.

Office of Admissions hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
