A&M International Slates Lunch-Time Lecture Apr. 7

The Texas A&M International University Women's Studies Program will sponsor a free presentation on "La Quinceañera: Towards an Ethnology of a Life Cycle Ritual" featuring guest speaker Dr. Norma Cantu on Monday, April 7 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. in Bullock Hall room 114.

The presentation, which is part of a Lunch-Time Speaker Series commemorating Women's History Month, is free and open to members of the community.

Other scheduled presentations in the Series include: "You Just Don't Understand Me!: Gender and Language Differences in Conversation," Dr. Kati Pletsch de Garcia, Monday, April 14; "Women in Children's Literature," Dr. Frances Gates Rhodes, Monday, April 21; and "Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment," A&M International University Chief of Police Harry Stege, Tuesday, April 29.

All presentations will be held from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. in Bullock Hall room 114.

Persons who attend the Lunch-Time Speaker Series may bring their lunch to the presentations. Cookies will be served.
