A&M International Student Receives Accounting Award

Texas A&M International University student Jaime Cantu has received the Accounting Excellence Award from The Educational Foundation of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Inc.

The award recognized Cantu for outstanding knowledge and ability in accounting as evidenced by excellence in accounting courses as well as overall academic achievement and demonstrating high moral and ethical standards.

He was presented the award at a reception hosted by the San Antonio Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants held at the Petroleum Club in San Antonio recently.

Cantu is a 1993 graduate of Nixon High School. He will graduate from A&M International in August with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is the son of Tomas and Paula Cantu.
