A&M International Transfer Day Planned at LCC

Laredo Community College students who have completed a minimum of 45 hours of lower division coursework will be able to explore transfer to Texas A&M International University at a special Information Fair Monday, June 30 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Kazen College Center, room 229.

Betty L. Momayezi, Director of Enrollment Management at A&M International, said the event is designed to help streamline the transfer process for students.

"We have designed a convenient, one-stop information forum for students considering transferring to their hometown University. We've assembled the majority of our staff in all relevant student service areas to be able to address student concerns," Momayezi said.

Momayezi said services available will enable students to complete an application for undergraduate admission, meet with an advisor, begin the financial aid process, complete a scholarship application form and review available classes for the Fall semester.

"Of special interest is the availability of $89,000 in additional scholarships for transfer students," Momayezi noted.

The Fall Semester at Texas A&M International University begins Sept. 1. Regular registration is Aug. 27-28. Early registration is underway through June 27.
