College students who wish to transfer to Texas A&M International University this Fall are reminded they must apply for admission and submit official transcripts and other documentation to the University's Office of Admissions prior to registration.

Maria R. Rosillo, Director of Admissions at A&M International, said admission applications should be submitted as far in advance as possible.

"Students who delay applying for admission may find themselves unable to register for courses if their paperwork is not completed," Rosillo said.

Registration for Fall 1997 will be conducted on August 27-28 from 1 - 7 p.m. at the University's main campus.

A&M International currently offers 22 bachelor's degrees and 20 graduate degrees.

Among the University's undergraduate degree offerings is the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science (BAAS) degree. The BAAS is ideal for transfer students who wish to parlay their 2-year degree Associate of Applied Arts degree into a 4-year degree.

"The University's BAAS degree is designed for students who have already earned credit in a vocational-technical area or any area not offered at A&M International, such as physical education, art, journalism, or agriculture.," she explained.

For more information on A&M International's admission procedures, please contact the University's Office of Admissions at 326-2200, or visit offices in Killam Library-Administration Building Room 155 West.

Office of Admissions hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and 8 am - 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
