A&M International Alumni Association Dates Scholarship Deadlines

The deadline for applications for undergraduate and graduate scholarships from Texas A&M International University's Alumni Association is Aug. 29.

The Alumni Association, which includes members from Texas A&I University at Laredo, Laredo State University and A&M International, will award one undergraduate scholarship and one graduate scholarship. The award duration is one year with a maximum award of $1,000 for the undergraduate award and $600 for the graduate scholarship.

Both scholarships are open to US and international students attending the University.

Criteria for the undergraduate scholarship for entering freshmen include: applicant must meet all A&M International entrance requirements, rank in the top 20% of their high school class, be enrolled at the University full-time (12 semester credit hours per semester) for the duration of the scholarship, maintain a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) each semester and follow the curriculum prescribed for one of the University1s undergraduate programs.

Criteria for the undergraduate scholarship for sophomores, juniors, seniors applying include: applicant must meet all entrance requirements and be accepted for admission to A&M International, have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better, be enrolled full-time (12 SCH/semester) at A&M International for the duration of the Scholarship, maintain a 2.0 GPA each semester and follow the curriculum prescribed for one of the University's undergraduate programs.

All undergraduate applicants must complete an application form, two letters of recommendation and answer two personal essay questions, in addition to providing official transcripts.

Criteria for the graduate scholarship include: applicant must meet all entrance requirements for graduate study at the University; have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better upon completion of baccalaureate degree or graduate work already completed, maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester and follow the curriculum prescribed for one of the University's graduate or certification programs.

Graduate applicants must complete an application form, provide official high school transcripts, two letters of recommendation and answer two personal essay questions.

A&M International office hours are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday Friday.
