A&M International Alumni Association Slates Meeting

The Texas A&M International University Alumni Association will hold a meeting and membership drive at the Fiesta Inn, 5240 San Bernardo, on Thursday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m.

Former students and graduates of Texas A&I University at Laredo, Laredo State University and Texas A&M International University are invited to attend.

A&M International students who are scheduled to graduate this summer are also invited to attend the Alumni Association meeting.

The meeting will include a get acquainted period for former students and graduates of A&M International and its predecessors, Texas A&I University at Laredo and Laredo State University, to socialize and renew ties. Refreshments will be served.

Also on the evening's schedule are the signing of a historic agreement between the Alumni Association and the University and an address by A&M International President Dr. J. Charles Jennett.

Former students and graduates who wish to attend the August 14 meeting are urged to RSVP to Susan E.W. Nichols, Alumni Association President-Elect, at 326-2565 or Scott Stuckey, at the Office for Advancement and External Affairs at A&M International, 326-2175.

The Alumni Association meets regularly and maintains close contact with the University through involvement in special committees and focus groups.

Among the Association's accomplishments are the establishment of scholarship and loan programs to assist incoming undergraduate and graduate students.
