University Invites Parents, New Transfer Students to Orientation

Texas A&M International University invites new transfer students, new graduate students, and parents and guests of new students to attend an Orientation program on Tuesday, August 26, from 5:30 - 8 p.m. in Bullock Hall room 101.

The Orientation will include informative presentations on the University and University life, a tour of the campus and new student housing, and an opportunity to meet with representatives from offices in the Division of Student Affairs, including Financial Aid, Student Development, Career Planning, Student Health Services plus other University offices.

Portions of the program will be offered both in English and Spanish.

Themed "Mission Is Possible: Orientation '97," the program will provide new students and their parents and guests with the information needed to navigate through the transition from high school to University or junior college to University.

Orientation will also introduce participants to a network of free services available to A&M International students such as tutoring, career planning, and health services.

For more information on A&M International's Orientation program, please call the Office of Student Development, 326-2280, or visit offices in Kinesiology and Convocation Center room 107. University office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
