Jennett Named to Journal Editorial Board

Dr. J. Charles Jennett, president of Texas A&M International University, has been named to the Editorial Board of Environmental Engineering and Policy: An International Journal for Environmental Engineers, Scientists and Policy Makers.

Editor-in-Chief Ravi K. Jain, Ph.D., P.E., of the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering, made the announcement on behalf of the Heidelberg, Germany -based publisher, Springer-Verlag.

Environmental Engineering and Policy is dedicated to providing a forum for scientific research, discoveries and innovations related to complex environmental engineering and related policy issues in field including wastewater collection and treatment, air pollution control technologies, fate and transport of contaminants in the environment, conservation and environmental protection and water resources and treatment, among others.

Dr. Jennett is joined on the Journal's editorial board by scientists and educators from eight foreign countries and institutions including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Los Alamos National Laboratory, University of California, Davis, Duke University and others.

Jennett received his Ph.D. in environmental and water resources engineering from the University of New Mexico and earned master's and bachelor's degrees in civil engineering from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

A widely published scholar, he is the co-author of several chapters in academic textbooks on water resources engineering.

An admired teacher and professional, Jennett has been selected in recent years as the outstanding educator of the year and the outstanding engineer of the year by the South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers. He also has been named an Outstanding Alumnus of the University of New Mexico.
