South Texas International Roundtable Hosts Presentation on NAFTA, Motor Carrier Impact

A presentation on the impact of NAFTA on Motor Carrier Services will be the focus of the Thursday, Sept. 25 meeting of the Council of Logistics Management South Texas International Roundtable meeting at the Laredo Bar and Grill at 6:30 p.m.

Gary Nichols, with the corporate headquarters of Contract Freighters Inc., will address the carrier operations and marketing changes that have occurred since January 1, 1994, and the shipper/carrier challenges that occur with changes in balance of trade, political-economic intervention, trade enhancements (such as NATAP), and Mexican carrier relationships.

Cost of the presentation is $10, which can be paid at the door. Reservations are highly recommended and can be secured by contacting Roundtable secretary Armando Garcia at 726-9602.

The Council of Logistics Management is the pre-eminent professional association providing worldwide leadership for the logistics profession through the development, dissemination, and advancement of logistics knowledge.
