A&M International Alumni Association Awards Scholarships

The Texas A&M International University Alumni Association has awarded one undergraduate scholarship and one graduate scholarship for the 1997-98 academic year.

Recipient of the undergraduate scholarship is Luz Beatriz Escudero, an Education major. Escudero will receive $500 per semester with a maximum award of $1,000 for the academic year.

Recipient of the graduate scholarship is Veronica G. Martinez, a Sociology major. She will receive $150 per course with a maximum award of $600 for the academic year.

Recipients were selected by a committee comprised of three Alumni Association members, Mario A. Pena, Mary T. Trevino and Elizabeth N. Martinez.

The Texas A&M International University Alumni Association, serving graduates since 1972, awards at least one undergraduate scholarship and one graduate scholarship every academic year. Through fundraising efforts, the Alumni Association is committed to increasing the number of scholarships awarded each year.
