Registration Underway for "Dusty" Fun Run, Walk

Community members who want a fun way to test their physical strength while helping Texas A&M International University to strengthen its student scholarship funds are encouraged to participate in the University's Third Annual "Dusty Fun Run and Walk."

The Dusty Fun Run and Walk will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 8:30 a.m. at the University's main campus, 5201 University Boulevard. Proceeds benefit student scholarships and alumni activities.

The event features competitive 5K and 10K Runs, a non-competitive 5K Fun Walk and 1 Mile Children's Walk.

Entry fee for the 5K and 10K events is $15 per event. Student entry fee and senior citizen entry fee is $5. Paid participants will receive an official "Dusty Fun Run and Walk" T-shirt.

Entry fee for the Children's 1 Mile Walk is $2, or $5 to enter the event plus receive an official "Dusty Fun Run and Walk" T-shirt.

Registration forms are available at the University's Office for Advancement and External Affairs located in room 262 of the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library-Administration Building. Registration forms are also available at the University's Business Office and several businesses around town. Registration and the fee payment may be conducted on site the day of the race beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Trophies, gift certificates, and door prizes will be awarded.
