Medical School Representatives To Visit A&M International

Representatives from two prominent medical schools will visit Texas A&M International University on Oct. 2 and 16 to talk to University students and their parents about careers in medicine and related fields.

Sandra Martinez-Garvock, assistant director of the Hispanic Center of Excellence, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, will meet with interested students and their parents on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m., in Canseco Hall room 101.

Dr. Miguel Bedolla, director of the Hispanic Center of Excellence, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, will meet with students and parents on Thursday, Oct. 16, 12:30 p.m., Canseco Hall room 101. Dr. Bedolla will be accompanied by Dr. Albert Stern, professor of pharmacology at New York University College of Medicine.

The visits are co-sponsored by the University's College of Science and Technology and the Health Professions Society (HPA) of Texas A&M International University, a student organization dedicated to helping students prepare for health-related professionals.
