A&M International Offers Talk on "The Smoking Heart" Wed., Nov. 19

Texas A&M International University will host a free lunchtime talk entitled "The Smoking Heart" on Wednesday, November 19 from 12 noon - 1 p.m. in Bullock Hall room 101 on the University's main campus.

Guest speaker will be Dr. Eduardo Gomez-Vazquez, a local physician.

Members of the community are invited to attend this free talk. Persons who attend may bring their lunch to the presentation. Beverages and light snacks will be served.

The talk is part of a series of free lunchtime talks sponsored through the University's Safety, Health, and Wellness Initiative. Other scheduled lunchtime talks include: "Making Sure Finals Don't Finally Kill You!" Dec. 10; "Successful Weight Reduction," Jan. 28; "Heart Healthy Living," Feb. 11; "Fitness Through Aerobic and Resistance Training," Feb. 25; "Rites of Spring: Preventing and Overcoming Sports Injuries," Mar. 4; "Sexual Diversity Panel Discussion," Apr. 29.

All talks will be held from 12 noon - 1 p.m. The aerobics talk will be held in the Kinesiology/Convocation Building. All other talks will be held in Bullock Hall room 101.

Presenters will include local physicians, health care professionals, and University faculty.
