A&M International Employees Honored for Years of Service

Twenty-eight Texas A&M International University employees who have been with the University for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years were recently recognized for their years of service to the institution.

Employees recognized for completing Five Years of Service were: Jacqueline Benavides, staff assistant with the College of Business Administration; Dr. Clifford Black, professor of Sociology and Criminology; Norma Cano, Business Office cashier; Sara Gutierrez, user service coordinator, Computer and Telecommunications Services office; Dr. Robert Haynes, associate professor of English; Dr. Firooz Khosraviyani, associate professor of Mathematics; Alvaro Lezama, staff assistant, Financial Aid office; Teresa Hein Lopez, instructor/CPDT director; Dr. Stephen Lunce, associate professor of Information Systems; Veronica G. Martinez, administrative assistant, Institutional Research and Effectiveness office; Dr. Stephen McNett, associate professor of accounting and chair of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems; Cynthia Morales, staff assistant, Texas Center; Alicia Ortiz, graphics technician, Secretarial Services office; Alfredo Paiz III, microcomputer services manager, Computer and Telecommunications Services office; Dr. Kamal Parhizgar, professor of Management; Araceli Rangel, director of Financial Aid; Oralia Roach, associate director of Public Affairs; and Sandra Sanders, associate director of the Academic Enrichment Center.

Employees recognized for completing 10 Years of Service were: Laura Gamez, expeditor, Purchasing office; Steve Harmon, director of Public Affairs; Laura Martinez, staff assistant, Public Affairs office; Betty Momayezi, director of Enrollment Management and School Relations; and Dr. Judith Warner, associate professor of Sociology.

Dr. Khosrow Fatemi, professor of International Business and dean of the College of Business Administration, and Concepcion Medina, clerk, Academic Enrichment Center., were recognized for completing 15 and 20 Years of Service, respectively.

Employees recognized for completing 25 Years of Service were: Dr. Ramon Alaniz, professor of education; Dr. Julio F. Madrigal, professor of Psychology and chair of the Department of Psychology and Sociology; and Dr. Lem Railsback, professor of Education.

Each service award recipient was presented with a commemorative plaque and was recognized during the University's Spring Convocation.
