Sports-minded adventurers of all ages will want to register for a new "Introduction to Inline Skating" class being offered by Texas A&M International University on Saturday, February 28 from 9 a.m. - 12 noon in Building C room 212.

The class, which is designed for beginners and intermediate skaters, will be taught by local inline skating expert and enthusiast Cristelo Garza. It will include both classroom training and an activity period for inline skating.

During the classroom training, participants will learn safety tips and maintenance techniques, plus receive information on the best local spots for inline skating.

Participants will then have an opportunity to learn or perfect their skating technique on a special practice course.

Persons who register for the class must provide their own inline skates and safety equipment.

Tuition is $25. As a special registration incentive, persons who register for this class will be allowed to participate at no cost in a second "Introduction to Inline Skating" class when it is offered again on Saturday, March 7.
