Texas A&M International University's Student Government Association will host a free Movie and Popcorn Night for University students and employees on Tuesday, March 3 beginning at 5 p.m. in Bullock Hall room 101. A valid A&M International ID card is required for admission.

Two major motion pictures will be featured, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Gattaca. Both films were released by Columbia Pictures in October of 1997.

I Know What You Did Last Summer is a horror film which features a hook-wielding villain. As the story begins, four friends celebrating their recent high school graduation seemingly kill a man in a drunk driving accident. The panic-stricken teens dump the victim's body off a seaside pier only to see his hand break through the water in a final grasp for life. One year later, a killer begins stalking them, and they wonder whether their victim really died.

The cast includes Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Freddie Prinze, Jr.

The film is rated R for strong violence and language. The running time is 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Gattaca is a futuristic science-fiction thriller set in the 21st Century, when genetic manipulation is the norm. "Designer people," those whose genes have been altered to eliminate the potential for disease and defects, are the masters of their world. "In-valids," those with slight or potential defects, are deemed inferior and tossed on the lowest rungs of society. A young in-valid who hopes to join a momentous manned mission to Titan switches identities with a genetically superior athlete but a murder investigation threatens to expose him.

The film stars Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. It is rated PG-13 for brief violent images, language and some sexuality. The running time is 1 hour and 52 minutes.
