Texas A&M International University's Office of Continuing Education will offer a "SAT Preparation" class on Saturdays beginning April 18 at the University's main campus, 5201 University Boulevard.

The class will meet in rooms 113 and 114 of Building C from 9 a.m. - 12 noon and 12:30 - 3 p.m. on Saturdays April 18, April 25, and May 2. Tuition and lab fee is $90.

A computerized exam-interactive study program designed to provide students with samples, advice, and techniques to achieve maximum performance on the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) will be used for the class.

General strategy, geometry, algebra, and critical reading are among the topics to be covered in the class.

The class is ideal for high school students and others who need to take the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) for admission into institutions of higher learning.

SAT scores are required for admission into many colleges and universities. A&M International requires SAT or ACT (American College Testing) scores for entering freshman and applicants who have completed less than 30 semester credit hours of transferable college credit.

Interested persons may register for the course in the University's Office of Continuing Education located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library room 332.

For information on the SAT Preparation class offered at A&M International, call the Office of Continuing Education at 326-2700. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
