University Registering for "Spanish for Children" Classes

Parents who want their children to learn Spanish are invited to enroll their 8 - 13 year-olds in "Spanish for Children" classes to be offered by Texas A&M International University's International Language Institute (ILI) this summer.

The classes are designed for youngsters who want to learn Spanish in a comfortable learning environment where oral skills are encouraged and listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are emphasized.

The classes will be held at the University's north Laredo campus weekdays from July 27 - August 14.

Two Spanish classes for children aged 8 - 10 will be offered weekday mornings from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, Beginning Conversation and Intermediate Conversation.

Two Spanish classes for children aged 11 - 13 will be offered weekday afternoons from 1 - 3 p.m., Beginning Conversation and Intermediate Composition.

Tuition is $150 per class. Registration for the "Spanish for Children" classes is currently underway at ILI offices located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library room 214.

Interested persons are encouraged to register as soon as possible since each class is limited to 12 students.
