Eight A&M International Faculty Members Granted Promotions

Dr. Charles Jennett, president of Texas A&M International University, announced promotions for eight A&M International faculty members.

"It gives me a great deal of pride to announce these promotions of our faculty. Our faculty are multi-talented and multi-capable, we are delighted to see them continue to ascend within the academic community," he said.

Dr. Nassar Momayezi, chair of the Department of Criminal Justice, History, and Political Science, was promoted to professor. Dr. Momayezi is a faculty member within the University's College of Arts and Humanities

Faculty from the University's College of Business Administration who received promotions were Dr. William Cargill, promoted to professor; Dr. Henry Smith III, promoted to associate professor; and Dr. Stephanie Smith, promoted to associate professor.

Dr. Brigado Lopez Jr., faculty within the University's College of Education, was promoted to associate professor.

Faculty from the University's College of Science and Technology who received promotions were Dr. Sanjay Rai, promoted to associate professor; and Dr. Terrance Quinn, promoted to associate professor.

Rogelio Hinojosa of the University's Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, was promoted to associate librarian.

Recommendations for faculty promotions were submitted to President Jennett for his approval by the University Tenure and Promotion Committee and the Provost.
