AP Summer Institute Begins July 27 at A&M International

An Advanced Placement (AP) Summer Institute for educators will be held at Texas A&M International University July 27 - 31.

The summer program helps educators to better prepare their students for Advanced Placement courses and examinations. AP training is required by the State of Texas for all teachers who will be conducting AP classes at the high school level or Pre-AP classes at the middle school level.

Week-long subject sessions to be offered during the University's AP Summer Institute include English Language and Literature, English Pre-AP (middle and high school), Math Pre-AP, Biology, Spanish Language and Literature, and Calculus AB. These sessions will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. - 12 noon Friday. Tuition is $300 per session. A $15 late registration fee applies after July 15. Lunch will be provided Monday - Thursday.

A one-day AP session in administration will be held on Friday, July 31 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tuition is $75. A $15 late registration fee applies after July 15. Lunch will be provided.
