College of Education Faculty Additions Named at A&M International

The addition of new faculty members to Texas A&M International University's College of Education has been announced by College dean Dr. Rosa Maria Vida.

"It gives us a great deal of pride to announce these additions to our faculty. We know that their addition will help us to continue our program growth, address new degrees and better serve our students," Dr. Vida said.

Vida noted that the two faculty additions to the College are the result of exhaustive and competitive national searches.

Joining the faculty for the start of the Fall 1998 semester are Dr. Terry L. Shepherd and Dr. Carolyn McCreight.

Terry L. Shepherd - assistant professor of special education, holds his Ed.D. in Special Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. His M.S. In Special Education for the Emotionally Handicapped was earned at Indiana University in South Bend. A B.S. in Social Science Education and English was also earned at IU. Prior to joining the A&M International University faculty, he was a teacher for the emotionally handicapped in Plymouth, Indiana.

Carolyn E. McCreight - assistant professor of educational administration, holds her Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Baylor University. Her M.Ed. in Special Education is from Texas A&M University-Commerce and her B.S. in Vocational Education was earned at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Prior to joining A&M International she was an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She is also a former superintendent of schools for the Como-Pickton Independent School District.
