A&M International Faculty Member Named to National Board of NSSA

A Texas A&M International University faculty member has been appointed to a governing board of a national association that provides inservice training to social instructors across the United States.

Dr. Idalia Rodriguez, associate professor of education, was named board member of the national governing board of the National Social Science Association because of her outstanding work both within and outside the classroom for social science education.

The National Social Science Association is the largest interdisciplinary educational association in the United States. Its inservice training is done through publications, conferences and seminars.

Members of the governing board include the leading educators in social science education.

As a board member, Dr. Rodriguez will be required to attend one board meeting per year. She will also be involved in the growth and development of the organization.
