A&M International Holds Student Government Election Oct. 5 - 6

Texas A&M International University students can exercise their right to vote during Student Government Association (SGA) Elections to be held Monday, Oct. 5 and Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. in front of the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library.

Seven SGA offices in the legislative and judicial branches open for election. In the legislative branch, four positions are open, one senator for the College of Arts and Humanities, two senators for the College of Education, one graduate senator at large. In the judicial branch, open positions include three justices, one each for the College of Arts and Humanities, College of Education, and College of Science and Technology.

The Student Government Association, an officially recognized student organization, participates in the decision-making processes affecting University students.

The SGA's primary purpose is to represent the concerns and interests of students and to provide or assist in providing programs for betterment and enrichment of the campus community.
