A&M International Adds Shaw, Sandoval to Physical Plant Personnel

Texas A&M International University has announced the addition of two members to its family. Buck Shaw, director of Physical Plant, and Kimberlee Sandoval, Physical Plant coordinator, have joined the University .

Shaw comes to A&M International from Texas A&M University Kigsville, where he was the assistant director of physical plant and in charge of all the building maintenance and utilities at the campus. He holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. He conducted his masters work in electrical engineering at the University of Houston and Lamar University and is now working on completing the degree here at A&M International. He is also a retired U.S. Navy officer.

Shaw was born in South Texas and is married to Frances A. Laurer, of Corpus Christi. The couple has four children.

Sandoval was an environmental specialist with Hydril Company in Houston prior to joining A&M International, where she was responsible for coordinating all hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal, creating emergency preparedness plans and researching laws and regulations for compliance, among other things. She holds a bachelor of science in environmental science from Sam Houston State University.

Before Hydril Company, Sandoval worked for Western Atlas Logging Services. There she started as an accounting clerk and then transferred to the environmental health and safety department to later become an internal environmental auditor.
