Texas A&M International University's Student Government Association (SGA) will hold a "Club Fair" on Monday, October 12 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the University in front of Building C.

Event organizer Alejandra Diaz, SGA vice president and chair of the SGA's Student Organizations Committee, said the Club Fair will provide a showcase for established and developing student clubs.

"The Club Fair will provide University students with an opportunity to learn about the numerous student organizations on campus. We hope this event will promote student life and prompt students to join clubs that are of interest to them," explained Diaz.

Gabriela Mendoza, associate director of Student Development at A&M International, said participation in student organizations is a unique learning experience which supplements and reinforces classroom activities.

"Involvement in one or more of A&M International's student organizations can add an important dimension to a student's University experience. We hope the Club Fair will heighten the organizations' visibility and encourage more students to become involved," she said.

The University has over 30 chartered student organizations with interested ranging from accounting and music to electronic trade and track and field.
