Texas A&M International University will be the site of a top-quality performance Nov. 20 when members of various student dance groups at A&M International unite for the first time for a colorful dance concert.

The free concert, featuring the A&M International Dance Performance and Flamenco Troupes, is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the Kinesiology/Convocation Building. Guest performers at the concert will include members of the A&M International High Twisters and the Ballet Folklórico.

Bede Leyendecker, assistant professor of dance, said that this dance concert will showcase the efforts of students enrolled in A&M International's dance classes.

"This is the start of a dance concert at A&M International University. The students, including the Ballet Folklórico and the High Twisters have been working hard in putting the program together and we expect a good concert," said Leyendecker.

The repertoire will include music of the Gipsy Kings, traditional flamenco, Ottmar Liebert and classical selections, Leyendecker said.

For further information, please contact Leyendecker at 326-2640. University office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
