TOEFL Preparation Course Offered at A&M International

Texas A&M International University's International Language Institute (ILI) will offer a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Preparation Course Oct. 26 - Dec. 2, weekday afternoons, from 3 - 5 p.m.

The 50-hour course will offer instruction in all three exam areas: grammar, listening and reading comprehension.

Tuition is $250. Registration and payment processing may be completed at ILI offices located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 214.

Both the Institutional and International TOEFL will be administered at A&M International this Fall.

The Institutional TOEFL, for any international student who needs to take the TOEFL for admission into A&M International, is scheduled for Dec. 8. Students will receive results within two weeks of the exam date. Registration fee for the exam is $38. Registration and payment processing may be completed at the University's International Language Institute, located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 214. Deadline to register is Nov. 6.

The International TOEFL will be administered on computer Nov. 18 and 19. The exam is for international students who wish to apply for admission to A&M International or another university or who need to take the TOEFL for Visa or residency purposes. To register for the International TOEFL, students must call 1-800-GO-TOEFL before Nov. 16. Registration fee for the exam is $100. Students will receive unofficial exam results on screen immediately after the exam with official scores mailed within two weeks.

There is no prerequisite for either exam, and a student may take it as many times as is necessary to pass.
