A&M International to Hold Communication Degree Orientation Workshop

Students interested in pursuing a communication degree at Texas A&M International University are invited to attend an orientation workshop to be held Friday, Nov. 13 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in Bullock Hall 202.

Dr. Per Fjelstad, coordinator of the communication degree program, will introduce faculty members and explain the program's coursework options, entry requirements and processes for granting transfer credit at the workshop. Also, faculty members will discuss specific courses and allow time for questions and discussion.

Fjelstad said that the University is now registering students for the communication program and that there will be two communication courses to be offered during the Spring 1999 semester, including Communication and Meaning and an applied course in Journalistic Writing. Follow-up courses will be offered during the summer and fall semesters.

Those who plan to attend the workshop should confirm their attendance by calling 326-2470.

Pre-registration for the Spring 1999 semester is underway now at A&M International through Friday, Nov. 13. Registration hours are 8 - 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 8 - 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
