A&M International Police Hold Kid's Fun Run Benefitting DARE

The Texas A&M International University Police Department will hold a 1 mile Fun Run for children 12 years of age and under on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. on the north side of the University's Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library.

Proceeds from the Fun Run will benefit the University Police Department's DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program.

Entry fee for the DARE Children's Fun Run is $2 per student Entry forms are available at local and area elementary schools. Individual schools will register all students who wish to participate in this event. Entry forms must be signed by a parent or guardian.

Students who participate in the DARE Fun Run are encouraged to wear their school colors.

All Fun Run participants will receive a "DARE" ribbon of completion. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall in boy's and girl's division. Trophies will also be awarded for 1st - 5th place to the schools that have the most student participation.
