University Invites Employers to Register for "Global Opportunities"

The Texas A&M International University Office of Career Planning and Placement invites local and area employers to register for "Global Opportunities '99," a career and teacher fair to be held at the University on Thursday, March 25 from 2 - 5 p.m.

Registration fee is $40 for the first representative and $8 for each additional representative. Employers who are interested in participating in the University's "Global Opportunities '99" may obtain registration information by calling the Office of Career Planning and Placement at 326-2260 or visiting offices in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 157. Registration deadline is Friday, February 12 however employers are encouraged to register as soon as possible since space is limited.

Over 100 representatives from various employment fields, including government agencies and school districts located throughout the US, are expected to participate in the event.

"Global Opportunities '99" provides a forum for A&M International students, graduates and community members to meet with prospective employers to discuss various career options and to hear firsthand career success stories. Employers can share information about possible employment opportunities and offer advice on career planning and successfully following chosen career paths.

For more information on A&M International's "Global Opportunities '99," call the Office of Career Planning and Placement at 326-2260. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday - Thursday.
