Texas A&M International University students, faculty, and staff will gather for a Thanksgiving celebration as the University's Student Government Association (SGA) hosts the third annual "Thanksgiving Feast" in the Great Room Thursday, Nov. 19 from 12 - 1:30 p.m.

The SGA-sponsored Feast is free and open to all University students and staff with valid A&M International I.D. The Feast will feature a hearty meal comprised of a traditional entree of turkey plus a savory assortment of side dishes, some of which will be prepared by University students, and delicious desserts contributed by faculty and staff.

The annual event, which drew over 300 students, faculty, and staff last year, affords the campus community an opportunity to come together in sharing and friendship as the holiday season starts and the semester ends, explained SGA president Arturo Sánchez, III.

"The Feast gives members of the University community who live far away from home an opportunity to share a traditional Thanksgiving meal surrounded by friends and colleagues. It also gives our many foreign students an opportunity to experience this unique American tradition," Sánchez said.
