AMP Scholarship Applications Due Feb. 3 at A&M International

Texas A&M International University students who are enrolled in engineering, mathematics, computer science, biology, chemistry, or physics have until Wednesday, Feb. 3 to apply for scholarships and stipends from the Texas Alliance for Minority Participation in Engineering, Mathematics and Science (Texas AMP).

The Texas AMP Program offers scholarships and stipends of $500 per long semester for full-time undergraduates majoring in math, science (not health science), engineering, or computer science. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents with an overall grade point average of at least 2.5.

A&M International students who wish to apply for the scholarship should contact the University's Texas AMP Scholarship Coordinator, Dr. Julio F. Madrigal, Chair of the Department of Psychology/Sociology, at 326-2475 or by email at jfmadrigal@tamiu.edu. University office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
