Educators Invited to Free Workshop at University's Killam Library Mar. 3

Texas A&M International University's Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library will hold a free mini-workshop for educators on Wednesday, Mar. 3 at 4 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Registration is not required and anyone in the community may attend.

Titled "Education Databases," the 30-minute mini-workshop will provide instruction on conducting research using the Internet, online resources, and electronic databases available in the Killam Library.

The Killam Library will also hold two mini-workshops for business persons, "Business and Demographics," to be held Tuesday, Mar 23, 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; and "International Relations," to be held Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, April 18 at 3:30 p.m.

Also scheduled in March and April are mini-workshops on "Searching the Online Book Catalog," "Full-Text Journal Databases," "Research on the Internet," and "Evaluating Web Information Sources." Please call the Killam Library Reference Desk at 326-2138 for specific dates and times.

All mini-workshops are free and open to the public.

Killam Library hours are 7:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and 12 noon - 8 p.m. Sunday.
