University's Killam Library Holds Free Workshops Apr. 17, 18

Texas A&M International University's Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library will hold a series of free mini-workshops Apr. 17 - 18 for students and members of the community who want to learn more about conducting research using the Internet, on-line resources, and electronic databases.

Each mini-workshop will last approximately 30 minutes, and will provide participants with the knowledge needed to explore the information resources in today's libraries.

Registration is not required, and there is no charge to attend.

Mini-workshops scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 17 are: "Searching the Online Book Catalog," 12:30 p.m.; "Full-Text Journal Databases," 1 p.m.; "Research on the Internet," 1:30 p.m.; "International Relations Databases," 2 p.m.; and "Evaluating Web Information," 2:30 p.m.

Mini-workshops scheduled for Sunday, Apr. 18 are: "Searching the Online Book Catalog," 2 p.m.; "Full-Text Journal Databases," 2:30 p.m.; "Research on the Internet," 3 p.m.; "International Relations Databases," 3:30 p.m.; and "Evaluating Web Information," 4 p.m.

Killam Library hours are 7:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and 12 noon - 8 p.m. Sunday.
