Officers Elected for University's Student Government Association

Texas A&M International University students have elected 1999-2000 officers for the University's Student Government Association (SGA).

Newly elected officers are: Alejandra Diaz, president; Victor Villarreal, vice president; Margarita Hernandez, treasurer; Joella Ballesteros and Laura Rodriguez, senators representing the College of Arts and Humanities; Indira Barrera, senator representing the College of Business Administration; Cynthia G. Garza and Annabelle Martinez, senators at-large; and Gilbert Cardenas, justice at-large.

The Student Government Association, an officially recognized student organization, participates in the decision-making processes affecting University students. The SGA's primary purpose is to represent the concerns and interests of students and to provide or assist in providing programs for betterment and enrichment of the campus community.
