Boys Basketball Camp Begins June 7 at A&M International

A week-long Boys Basketball Camp for 5th - 12th graders will be held at Texas A&M International University June 7 - 11, from 8:30 a.m. - 12 :30 p.m., in the University's new Kinesiology/Convocation Building.

Tuition for the camp is $75 and includes daily power snacks and a camp T-shirt.

Camp curriculum includes dietary lessons, exercise/weight program, pre-game prep, drills, talking circle, on and off season physical fitness program, and individualized training to develop passing shooting, and ball handling skills. Instructors will be Bill Batey Sr. and Bill Batey Jr.

The University will also host a one-week Girls Basketball Camp for 5th - 12th graders June 14 - 18, 8:30 a.m. - 12 :30 p.m., in the Kinesiology/Convocation Building. Instructors will be Shelly Peacock and Kristina Aponte.

Camp curriculum for the girls camp includes dietary lessons, exercise/weight program, pre-game prep, drills, talking circle, on and off season physical fitness program, and individualized training to develop passing shooting, and ball handling skills. Tuition is $75. Daily power snacks and a camp T-shirt are included.

A one-week Volleyball Camp for 5th - 12th grade girls will be held at A&M International June 21 - 25, 8:30 a.m. - 12 :30 p.m., in the Kinesiology/Convocation Building. Skills to be taught at the camps include drills, physical awareness, exercise program, passing, serving, setting, spiking, blocking, team offenses, and team defenses. Instructors will be Shelly Peacock and Kristina Aponte. Tuition is $75. Daily snacks and a camp T-shirt are included.

Registration for the sports camps may be completed through the University's Office of Continuing Education, located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 332.
