A&M International Faculty Members Attend Seminar on Accounting Education

Three Texas A&M International University faculty members recently attended the 25th Annual Seminar on Accounting Education in Dallas.

The meeting, which took place Oct. 8-9, was sponsored by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

The meeting was held to provide accounting teachers with material for their classes and continuing education credits for instructors who are also certified public accountants.

Dr. Steve McNett, associate professor of accounting, gave an opening speech on "The Students of Generation X," explaining effective methods of teaching that can be used to communicate with today's college students. He also served as chairman of the program committee this year.

Dr. Stephen Lunce, associate professor of computer information systems, gave a presentation on "Technical Basics in the Classroom," explaining the use of computer technology in the classroom.

Dr. Bill Cargill, accounting professor, conducted a presentation titled, "Two Hours of Ethics for Texas CPAs."
