Texas A&M International University students, faculty, and staff will celebrate Thanksgiving a little early during the Student Government Association's (SGA) fourth annual "Thanksgiving Feast" Thursday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Great Room of the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library (room 319).

The SGA's Thanksgiving Feast, a popular University tradition, gives the campus community a unique opportunity to come together, explained SGA president Alejandra Diaz.

"The Thanksgiving Feast is an event which unites University students, faculty, and staff in sharing and friendship as the semester ends and the holiday season begins. It also gives students and employees who are far from home an opportunity to share a traditional Thanksgiving meal surrounded by friends and colleagues," Diaz said.

She added that many of the University's foreign students will experience Thanksgiving for the first time at the event.

"Thanksgiving is a unique American holiday but the Feast gives us an opportunity to share it with the world," she noted.

The SGA's Thanksgiving Feast will feature a hearty meal comprised of a traditional entree of turkey plus a savory assortment of side dishes, some of which will be prepared by University students, and delicious desserts contributed by faculty and staff.

It is free and open to all University students and staff with valid A&M International I.D.
