A&M International To Sponsor Dining Etiquette Workshop Dec. 3

Students and business persons who wish to increase their self-confidence and poise in business entertaining settings are invited to attend a "Dining Etiquette Workshop" on Friday, December 3, from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Laredo Country Club.

The workshop is sponsored by Texas A&M International University's Office of Career Services in conjunction with the Laredo Development Foundation's Small Business Development Center and the Laredo Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Committee.

Registration fee is $25 and includes the workshop, a full-course meal, and instructional material. Seating is limited and registration is being accepted on a space available basis.

Developed for people conducting business across all fields, from the student to upper management, the workshop will offer "do's and don't's" of dining etiquette. Among the topics to be discussed are basic business dining etiquette such as silverware savvy, napkin etiquette, when to begin eating, and difficult to eat foods. Presenter will be etiquette expert Margaret Martin.

Interested persons may register for the workshop or obtain more information by calling the University's Office of Career Services at 326-2260 or by visiting offices located in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, room 157. Their office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
